datacenters.microsoft.com
One of the biggest projects I’ve ever completed, I designed this website under the direction of two of Indigo Slate’s creative directors. The primary goal was to refresh, expand, and make more accessible the online information and articles about Microsoft’s international datacenters. To do this, we needed to create a new landing page from scratch.
From the start, I was provided with a list of all the elements we believed the website would need to incorporate. I ran with the list, creating multiple wireframe options for the page. From there, over the next five months, we moved back and forth creating more detailed comps and providing them to Microsoft. Once we were firm on the direction of the homepage, we expanded our content to include articles, regional content hubs, and customer experience stories. Throughout the process I was the lead designer creating the majority of content while under the direction of the creative directors. I also spent time working with a web developer to optimize the experience and make sure our designs would translate well once they were coded in to the website.
